Chem-Crest 275 is a multipurpose, heavy-duty, phosphate- and silicate-free caustic liquid detergent. It is useful in many applications demanding removal of various contaminants such as oils, greases, and particulates. This detergent finds many uses throughout industrial, mechanical, and maintenance cleaning operations.
Chem-Crest 275 is designed to effectively remove various machining oils, greases, metalworking fluids, drawing and stamping oils, buffing, lapping and polishing compounds, solder fluxes, welding fluxes, photoresists, airborne contaminants, and baked-on carbonaceous soils.
Chem-Crest 275 is safe on ferrous metals, nickel, chromium alloys, titanium, plastics, glass, ceramics, and silicon wafers — when used as directed. It is not to be used on aluminum, magnesium, or zinc substrates. Check with your Crest representative for alternatives.
Operating Conditions:
Chem-Crest 275 is typically used at 3–5% by volume for light soils and 5–10% by volume for heavy soils. A 20–25% solution can be used for de-rusting and de-scaling of ferrous metals. Recommended rinsing water temperature: 120–150°F. Contact your Crest representative for product-line specific recommendations.
Storage Conditions and Disposal Materials:
Avoid freezing conditions. Dispose in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and procedures. Contains potassium and sodium hydroxide.
